2012
Very busy this semester with classes all over. Classes are running like clockwork ( 30 minutes at a time), and doing a lot of fun costume and portrait classes/workshops. Alas, I have not been taking many pictures. I did have my first " nude modeling accident" though. While quietly holding a pose, a large ( and heavy) steel easel fell over , whacking me hard on the leg. It scraped me, but fortunately, hit muscle and missed my kneecap or shin! Otherwise....arrrrggghh!!!
Here is a sitting i just did, where I look...heavenly!

my premiere post
I have been a life model for a number of years..all the way back to being a thin younger man. Well, the years and the pounds have caught up, and I am happy to say I am still modeling! I recently made a comment to an instructor about getting back and shape, and she relpied that I was a good change and gave them something to draw!! Another instructor, at another venue, loved having me, because most of the models were 20 year old dancers. Well, I do believe I am a good, creative ( reliable and professional, too) model. So pass the wine and canapes - I have a sitting tommorrow!!
I really love the creative process and hope to be , at least in part a little inspiration. I have had a great year posing. Hope the jobs keep coming in.
In facxt I have been very lucky. I understand only about 10% of figure drawing jobs are male. Oh, by the way, I do pose clothed too!! I love to portrait seeions in period costumes. When class is over, it looks like my hall of ancestors!
